Huntington Woods is located in
Gambrills, Maryland. The community is situated
off Md. 450
between Md. 424 (Davidsonville Road) and the South River.
The
neighborhood is distinctive for its preservation of a wooded environment
for its 64 homesites. The community is surrounded by woods, flood
plain, and
open spaces, which give a feeling of seclusion, yet
the neighborhood is only
minutes from major thoroughfares that
place Annapolis, Washington, and
Baltimore within easy reach.
Rt. 450 east of Huntington Woods reopened on August 22, a few days ahead of schedule. The road has been closed this summer for a bridge replacement project where Rt. 450 crosses the headwaters of the South River. Pictures of the project are available on the MDSHA web site. It's smooth sailing from Huntington Woods to Annapolis again!
